Geotextiles: Types and Series by Function

geotextiles

Geotextiles such as woven, nonwoven, high performance, high strength, etc; perform a variety of functions for many different applications such as drainage, stabilization, reinforcement, paving, and many more.

The most commonly used and versatile nonwoven fabrics are the Carthage Mills’ series of HS fabrics. They are used primarily for drainage applications such as trench drains.

Slit Film fabrics are the most commonly used woven geotextile series, specifically the Carthage Mills FX-55 and FX-66 fabrics which are typically used in the construction of both paved and unpaved roadways.
