Geosynthetic and Erosion Control Products
Geotextiles (one of many types of geosynthetic products) – Including woven and nonwoven geotextile fabric, for both private and state DOT / NTPEP projects.
Geogrids – Including biaxial geogrid types 1 & 2, as well as uniaxial and SRW (segmental retaining wall) geogrid.
Geomembranes – Including LLDPE, PVC, and HDPE for use as pond liners, landfills, reservoirs, and more.
Construction Film, also called Plastic Sheeting or Poly Sheeting, has a wide variety of uses in the construction industry.
Stormwater Products and BMPs – Including dewatering bags, silt fence, wattles, and also inlet protection.
Geocells – Cellular confinement systems used for erosion protection & stabilization in steep slope surfaces. Also used for ground stabilization on weak subgrade soils.
Erosion Control Blankets (ECBs) – Including double & single sided, and also short or long-term erosion solutions. Biodegradable options are also available.
Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs) – Permanent erosion control solutions for steep slopes, embankments, banks and also shorelines with heavy runoff.
Armormax System – Provides long-term erosion control and slope stabilization for up to 75 years. This product is also lightweight and easily transported to challenging job site locations.
Landscape & Ground Cover Geotextile Fabrics – Provide drainage to aid in plant growth while preventing weed growth. These products also reduce erosion on embankments.
Geosynthetic Custom Fabrication – In-house factory seaming of geotextiles. This allows us to meet specified wide width seam strengths. We also offer off-line slitting and rerolling available.
Construction Job Site Accessories – Along with geosynthetics, we also offer t-posts, safety fence, Chain link, steel posts, sod staples, and much more.
Drainage Composites – A combination of geotextiles and polymeric drainage cores. These products serve as a solution by redirecting water away from a structure.
Geosynthetic Products – The History
In 1958, Carthage Mills embarked on a groundbreaking journey to develop, manufacture, and introduce an innovative woven synthetic filter cloth. This revolutionary product was the first practical alternative to expensive and often ineffective graded granular filters used beneath riprap for shoreline protection. Over time, these early plastic filter cloths became known as Geotextiles, paving the way for what is now recognized as the Geosynthetics Industry.
