Prefabricated Strip Drain Geocomposites

strip drain

DESCRIPTION

Strip Drain Geocomposites are innovative drainage products that combine a formed polymeric core with filter fabric bonded to one or both sides. The filter fabric, securely attached to each dimple on the core, prevents soil intrusion while allowing water to freely enter the drainage channels. The polymeric core provides an uninterrupted pathway for water to flow efficiently to designated drainage exits, making these geocomposites a reliable choice for a wide range of applications.

Prefabricated strip drains are manufactured in long, narrow strips and serve as a complete drainage solution for highways, athletic fields, buildings, homes, and other structures. Their compact design and superior performance make them a value-engineered alternative to traditional perforated pipe and aggregate systems, especially in situations requiring moderate strength and high flow capacity.

Many strip drain products also include geotextiles that meet AASHTO M288 requirements, such as Class 2 or Class 3, further enhancing their versatility and reliability in various geotechnical applications.
