Geotextiles - Woven Geotextiles and Nonwoven Geotextiles

FX HS Nonwoven Civil Geotextile Fabrics

FX®-HS Nonwoven (Civil) Geotextiles - Considered 'multipurpose' geotextiles as they can offer immediate and cost-effective solutions for many separation, drainage, erosion control and filtration applications.

slit film geotextiles

FX® Slit Film Geotextiles - Offer cost effective solutions for most separation and stabilization applications, commonly used in driveways, and both paved and unpaved roads.

FX MF High-Performance Geotextile Fabrics

FX®-MF High-Performance Geotextiles - Were developed to deliver the higher strengths and long-term performance that cannot be achieved by typical woven slit-film geotextiles.

Monofilament Geotextiles

Carthage %™ Open Area Woven Monofilament Geotextiles - Provide long-term solutions for nearly any drainage / filtration application, and the special weave patterns and monofilament yarns produce a high Percent Open Area (POA).

Orange Demarcation Geotextile Fabric

Carthage Orange Demarcation Geotextiles - Are essential in projects where a visual warning layer is needed to prevent future excavation projects from causing damage, and a prompt for workers to stop digging.

Asphalt Overlay Geotextile Fabrics

Carthage FX®-A/O Asphalt Overlay Fabrics - Provide an economic solution to extending the useful life of pavement overlays, and improve the performance of asphalt road surfacing and resurfacing by up to 50% by reducing the “causes” of overlay fatigue failure.

High Strength Geotextile Fabrics

FX®-PET High-Strength Woven Polyester Geotextiles - Deliver the higher ultimate tensile strength properties, resistance to installation damage, and exceptional creep resistance and soil interaction that results in higher long-term design strengths (LTDS) per GRI-GT7.

Nonwoven Environmental Geotextile Fabrics

Carthage FX®-HSE Nonwoven Geotextiles - Are specially designed for a wide variety of applications in the environmental market, and offer immediate and cost-effective solutions for many of the unique challenges found in these applications.

Livestock Mud Mat Geotextile Fabric

Livestock Mud MatTM - Will separate your cover material from the mud below, and prevent it from intermixing, as well as evenly distribute weight preventing 'ruts' or 'depressed areas' that would negatively impact the health of the livestock.

Geotextiles - Types and Series by Functions

Geotextiles: Types and Series by Function - This is a chart showing the different series of geotextile fabrics, and what functions they typically serve such as separation, erosion protection, asphalt overlay, and many more.

A geotextile is defined as a strong synthetic fabric usually used in civil engineering construction projects (such as highway or dam building) that stabilizes loose soil and prevents erosion. The 2 main categories of geotextiles are woven geotextiles, and nonwoven geotextiles. Woven Geotextiles consist of monofilament, multifilament, slit-film and/or fibrillated slit-film yarns - often in combinations - that are woven into a variety of patterns. Nonwoven Geotextiles are often referred to as 'multipurpose' and are produced with a needle-punched manufacturing technique.
